Artlink celebrated their 25th anniversary in 2017 and are the longest established visual arts organisation in Co. Donegal. Artlink’s mission is to link artists and the community to art by devising and delivering innovative art projects resulting in exhibitions, public art and community projects.
The members show has proven to be a great success with locals and tourists alike. There was a diverse range of submissions reflecting on the theme of "Manifold" , the exhibition included sculpture, painting, assemblage, mixed media and other beautifully crafted forms of artwork.
As part of Artlink's 2017 residency program, funded by the arts council of Ireland, artist Niamh McCann created a flag for Artlink Fort Dunree inspired by the landscape , heraldic symbolism and the people of the area. The flag was raised in a ceremony at the opening reception.
The show was curated by Stephan Roche, former curator and board member of the 126 art gallery in Galway.
